Royal Marine Officers Kevin Oliver and Tony Lancashire pulled, rowed and sailed a 17ft open boat two thirds of the way through the Northwest Passage, a treacherous stretch of water between the arctic and Canada. They encountered very few people, a grizzly bear, several polar bears and some arduous environments. They did it to raise money for a charity, Toe in the Water, that helps rehabilitate men from all three forces using the rigours and disciplines of sailing. The event attracted local TV and national press and subsequently, a short 30 minute film was made.
Nite were the official time keepers.
